Managing the Strategy

The nature of the PPP process is such that projects are delivered through a Special Purpose Company (SPC) which, as the name suggests, is set up to design, finance, construct and maintain an asset for use by the Public Sector. The SPC has to identify and manage the risks inherent within this process and deliver the project within strict financial parameters.

As the agent and representative of the SPC, the client has access to director level staff who will add value through the management of what can be a complex process.

Our expertise can assist the SPC to identify and manage these risks by providing the following :

  • Co-ordination of the parties comprising the SPC
  • Liaison with the end users
  • Pre-contract design management
  • Bid management
  • Administering the construction contract
  • Administering the contract between the SPC and the end user
  • Administering the contract between the SPC and the funder
  • Change management
  • Progress monitoring and reporting
  • Testing, commissioning and handover
